Dan Wilkie

Dan Wilkie serves as President of Tropic-Kool, a premier commercial design-build and HVAC/Mechanical services contractor in the Tampa Bay, Florida area. With 50 years of industry experience, Dan leads Tropic-Kool’s overall direction and growth strategy, ensuring the company continues to provide top-notch HVAC/Mechanical solutions for clients across the Healthcare, Education, and Commercial/Industrial sectors. As President, he oversees key business operations, guides long-term planning, and works closely with the company’s team to meet the needs of clients with exceptional service. Dan became a Partner with Fidelity Building Services Group (Fidelity) when Tropic-Kool joined Fidelity in 2024.

Throughout his career, Dan has earned extensive credentials, including his AC Contractor’s License in both Florida and Texas. His leadership at Tropic-Kool has been instrumental in advancing the company’s capabilities, from managing their state-of-the-art, 25,000-square-foot facility, which includes an in-house ductwork and welding shop, to ensuring the availability of an extensive HVAC parts inventory to support the company’s dedicated service group.

Dan is an alum of Alfred State College, bringing both technical and strategic insight to Tropic-Kool, which has served the Tampa Bay area since 1978.
