John Masters serves as President of Masters Mechanical, A Fidelity Company, where he leads the company’s operations, strategic growth, and commitment to delivering high-quality HVAC/Mechanical solutions across commercial and industrial markets. With more than 40 years of experience in the industry, John has built a strong technical foundation through hands-on fieldwork. Over the decades, he has led projects ranging from commercial and industrial installations to large-scale institutional facilities, consistently delivering high-performance, energy-efficient solutions. John became a Partner at Fidelity when Masters Mechanical joined the Fidelity portfolio of companies in 2026.

In 2000, John founded Masters Mechanical in Newport News, Virginia, establishing the company as a fully insured and licensed Class A contractor known for quality workmanship, safety, and integrity. As President, he oversees all aspects of the business, including business development, estimating, project management, engineering coordination, financial performance, and workforce development. His leadership ensures that each project is executed with precision, efficiency, and a focus on long-term client relationships.

John’s experience spans system design-build, retrofits, energy optimization initiatives, preventive maintenance programs, and large-scale mechanical upgrades. Throughout his career, he has successfully navigated evolving technologies, industry regulations, and changing market conditions.

John holds a Certificate in HVAC from Thomas Nelson Community College and has completed advanced training at Frick Ammonia Refrigeration School and the University of Wisconsin–Madison DDC Controls School. John also maintains a Class A Contractor License, HVAC Master’s License, and Master Gas Fitter’s License. A respected leader in the HVAC community, he is dedicated to mentoring the next generation of HVAC/Mechanical professionals and maintaining the highest standards in the trade. His 40+ year career reflects not only technical mastery, but also a thorough understanding of what it takes to sustain and grow a successful mechanical contracting firm.
