Matt MacLaughlin

Matt MacLaughlin serves as President of HCT Control Technology, A Fidelity Company, where he leads the company’s operations and strategic direction. With over 20 years of experience in building automation, Matt brings a combination of technical expertise, project management experience, and operational leadership to the role.

Matt’s career has progressed through nearly every level of the building automation industry. He began in engineering, gaining experience designing and commissioning complex control systems, before moving into project management, where he oversaw installations and service work from estimating and design through scheduling, billing, and closeout.

As his responsibilities grew, Matt moved into operations leadership, focusing on workforce planning, process improvement, financial performance, and team development. His experience includes work across a range of markets, including healthcare, education, and government, giving him an understanding of the unique operational and technical requirements of these environments.

That progression has given Matt a broad perspective on the industry and a practical understanding of what it takes to successfully deliver advanced systems integration and control system design projects – from the technical details in the field to the people, processes, and planning behind them. At HCT Control Technology, he is focused on building on that experience to support the company’s continued growth and commitment to its customers.
